Finding A Way

I got my results from UCD the other day and everything was pretty much to be expected except for an NG grade in a continuous assessment Creative Writing class. First of all it would have been impossible for me to receive an NG because of attendance alone but I figured maybe I was just really shit. I emailed the tutor anyway and she sent me back a short email saying “There has been a terrible mistake, please contact the English Department immediately.” I went up anyway and was treated like a prince because my NG was a clerical error and I actually received an A-. I’m not going to lie, I was extremely happy because of the circumstances of the grade. The funny thing is that if it was in any other module I would have just accepted the grade and repeated the module. It’s all a bit relieving.                                                                                                                                                 I think I’m going to spend the rest of the afternoon doing college work and eating lentil soup.
