The Joys of Snow?

I enjoy the snow. I enjoy getting lectures cancelled and I like seeing people having a laugh. What I don’t like is sitting on a 20 minute bus journey for nearly 3 hours and be followed every part of the journey by the Snow Fiends from Hell who are pictured above. The bus left UCD and was crawling along, I didn’t mind this so much because of how warm it was on the bus as opposed to the alternative of walking. We were stopped on the Windy Arbour road which is flanked on one side by a massive green and on the other side by houses. After not moving for about fifteen minutes there was a consistent thud of snowballs being milled at the window. This was funny for about 3 minutes. The onslaught continued for at least twenty minutes of non stop thudding. The culprits were two young lads in Columbia jackets and they were wearing wet pants for cycling and had football scarves over their mouths. The funniest thing about the whole thing was that they had a structured operation. One lad rolled the snowballs and the other (who had amazing aim) would just throw tirelessly at the bus. Their persistence was admirable. We eventually moved on a bit. About ten minutes later it started again except 300 hundred yards up the road on the opposite side. They moved base camp. I felt sorry for the bus driver but it was too funny. Happy Snow Day.
